This colorful fusing is named Ilhan and is part of a 4 part series called The Squad– inspired by the four democratic women elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2018. Ilhan is named for Ilhan Omar- the first Somali-American member of Congress. She and Rashida Tlaib were also the first two Muslim women ever elected to Congress. This artwork is composed of a variety of purple,pink, and violet canes fused at 1460° F, and can be displayed in different orientations.
