Introduction to Glassblowing
This course will introduce you to the magic of glass art and give you the opportunity to create your own glass objects! You will learn to gather glass from the furnace, blow and shape bubbles, and work with color and texture. The class will also review hot shop safety and proper use of equipment. You will develop a strong foundation through demonstrations and supervised work with individualized attention from the instructor. Prerequisite: None. All tools and materials provided. Includes two sessions.

Glass I
In Glass I you will build upon skills learned in Introduction to Glassblowing with an emphasis on the blown form. You will learn techniques to create the basic forms: a cylinder, a bowl, cone and a plate. The teamwork aspect of glassblowing will be introduced in shaping and applying punties, shielding, and blowing. Prerequisite: Introduction to Glassblowing or permission of instructor required. All materials and tools provided. Includes six sessions.

Cold Working Workshop
Come participate in a four hour results-oriented cold working class. Students will be taught the proper use of all cold working equipment: belt sander, diamond wheel, lathe, ring saw, and slab saw. Proper techniques will be learned to achieve cold-working goals. Pre-made glass eggs will be provided to level and polish; lensing will be included. A sandblasting demonstration will also be included in this class. A portion of the class will be set aside for personal projects. Please bring pieces to bo cold worked. Upon completion of this on day class, students will be able to rent the cold shop independently.

Our schedule is open to lessons during all of our business hours! Private lessons include the following:
- A demonstration of an object created by our expert gaffers,
- Proper safety instruction for handling equipment and tools within the hot shop,
- A hands-on glassblowing lesson where you create a piece of original artwork that you can take home 24-48 hours after completion.

Venetian Glassblowing
Our Venetian glassblowing class is available for more advanced sculptors; it involves blowing thin, pulled stems; blown feet; avoleos; mareses; and garage assembly.
Cane and Murrine
You’ll learn techniques for pulling cane, creating murrine, cutting cane, how to use our pastorelli and garage, and cane pickups.
Color Cup and Graal Pick-Ups
You’ll learn how to create overlays, sandblast patterns, create enameled cups and cane cups.
Optic Mold Madness
You’ll learn how to make twisted cups, optic plates and bowls, pumpkins, and optic handles.
Sculpture 101
This is our base level sculpture class where you’ll learn powder color application, bit work, garage assembly, conceptualizing and planning design, creative puntying, and torchwork.
